2. James Dolan（尼克）
身為尼克老闆，Dolan在過去10多年裡所幹下的荒謬事情簡直罄竹難書。首先，他似乎完全無法體諒球迷的心情，每一次當尼克球迷看到希望、或者是找到一些能夠真正讓他們感到驕傲的事情時，他總是會跳出來、做出球迷最不想見到的事。

最好的例子就是在2001年，尼克原本可以透過先簽後換交易來巔峰時期的Chris Webber，但是他們最後竟然和已經開始走下坡的射手Allen Houston簽下一紙6年1億美金的天價合約，那份合約離譜到直接促使聯盟推出「Allan Houston條款」，也就是今天大家熟知的「特赦條款」。（諷刺的是，雖然聯盟訂定特設條款來幫尼克解套，但是尼克終究還是沒用這個條款來擺脫Houston的合約）

Dolan另一個讓球迷恨得牙癢癢的特點是無法將生意和個人喜好分開，光是看他因為覺得自己被林書豪「背叛」而決定任由這顆搖錢樹前往火箭；或是看他如何無視「微笑刺客」Isiah Thomas過去10年讓尼克爛到谷底的前車之鑑、至今仍向他請益籃球事務，就可得知這位老闆在做「籃球相關」的決定時有多麼意氣用事。

4. Mikhail Prokhorov（籃網）
許多人認為Prokhorov是個瘋子，不過認為他是天才的也大有人在，自從2010年接手籃網後，這位俄羅斯億萬富翁從第一天起就打定主意要把遷移至紐約布魯克林區的籃網改造一支冠軍級勁旅，並在2011年展開計劃第一步，用Devon Harris及2010年選秀探花Derrick Favors換來爵士頂級控衛Deron Williams。

雖然這是筆好交易，不過拿先發控衛和潛力新星（以及選秀權）去交換一個合約即將到期、又不肯承諾續約的超級巨星，Prokhorov這一招破釜沉舟也玩得太大，讓整個籃球世界都替他捏了一把冷汗。

為了在Williams落跑前補強陣容、說服他留下，籃網接著和拓荒者進行交易，換來體能勁爆的小前鋒Gerald Wallace，然後又在這個夏天從老鷹交易來「鷹王」Joe Johnson，並用這樣的陣容成功說服Williams重新回到籃網的懷抱，讓籃網搖身一變成為東區前段班的強隊。

雖然籃網奪冠計畫的最後一塊拼圖隨著「魔獸」Dwight Howard的交易失敗而告吹，讓他們無法在一個夏天內晉升為總冠軍大熱門，不過以現有陣容而言他們已經足以和聯盟各強權分庭抗禮。

Prokhorov在這2年大張旗鼓、頻頻拿選秀順位和年輕潛力去交易即戰力的「用未來換現在」做法雖然冒險，但是NBA本來就是一個「贏球趁現在」的聯盟，只要能成功拿下總冠軍，那麼Prokhorov就是個天才；如果失敗了，那麼，至少對籃網來說，他們已經紮紮實實的瘋狂過一次了。

Dale Oen辭世前人正在美國亞利桑納與挪威國家隊集訓，周二(1日)被發現倒在旅館浴室中，雖然隊友緊急進行CPR然後送往醫院，但還是未能挽回Dale Oen的生命。

挪威游泳協會主席Per Rune Eknes稍後證實這項報導，但他說目前還不清楚導致Dale Oen心臟停止跳動的真正原因。Dale Oen成為2010年Fran Crippen之後去世的第2位泳壇名將。

消息傳出後，挪威泳協、國家隊教練、上海世錦賽主辦單位都同時表達哀悼之意，挪威全國更是震驚，首相Jens Stoltenberg第一時間在推特上寫道：「Alexander Dale Oen是我們蕞爾小國的偉大運動員，我向他的家庭、親人表達哀悼之意。」

此後Dale Oen不斷在歐錦賽、世錦賽奪牌，屢屢刷新個人與全國紀錄，然後在2008年奧運再奪100公尺蛙式銀牌，成為該國史上首位在游泳項目奪牌的選手。

2011年上海世錦賽，Dale Oen終於在拿下首面100公尺蛙式金牌，且58秒71成績直逼2009年Brenton Rickard所創的58秒58世界紀錄。而當他站上頒獎台情緒激動的畫面，更激勵了前幾天遭到奧斯陸恐怖攻擊的挪威人民士氣，Dale Oen至此從泳壇明星成為全國英雄。Dale Oen還被喻為是今年倫敦奧運北島康介企圖在100、200公尺蛙式完成3連霸的最大勁敵之一。

男子400公尺自由式決賽，衛冕金牌的韓國好手朴泰桓，和中國的孫楊兩人競爭激烈，一路領先的朴泰桓，在最後100公尺，被孫楊超越，以3分40秒14，拿下這個項目的金牌，而這也是中國男子游泳史上第一面奧運金牌，而且還破了奧運紀錄。

台北時間7月28日消息，德懷特-霍華德仍想被交易，這個消息是如何洩露出來的？總裁大衛-史騰有點生氣，據《今日美國》報導，他把矛頭指向了霍華德的經紀人丹-費根。

台北時間7月27日，據《紐約郵報》報導，林書豪離開尼克轉投火箭，不少人認為是尼克的當家球星卡梅羅-安東尼在從中作梗。對此，目前正在倫敦備戰奧運會的安東尼有話要說。他指出林書豪加盟火箭隊完全是因為薪資的緣故，而他們兩人之間並沒有矛盾。
